We are super happy to welcome Ánne Kátjá Gaup as a new artist partner and as the new social media chef here at Dáiddadállu.

Sami art network at DD

After 8 years of living away, Ánne Kátjá has now moved back home to Kautokeino, where the goal is to work full-time with her sole proprietorship, with DD at her back.

“I am very happy to be part of Dáiddadállu. DD has a strong and good Sami artist community, and I am looking forward to working with the talented artists. That there is such an environment in Sápmi is so incredibly important for us who will be working with our own companies within art and culture"

Still photography, TV directing and multi-camera directing

She has completed her bachelor's degree in TV directing with a specialization in multi-camera directing at Høgskolen i Innlandet. She has already had multi-camera assignments this summer, and hopes for more in the future. Last year, among other things, she directed the Sámi Grand Prix together with colleagues from NRK.

“I like most things in the media industry, but am mainly a still photographer. I have worked with many different things over the years, both in front of and behind the camera. In October there is a premiere of my and Grete Andrea Kvaal's documentary "Alle mine reindeer kenner je", which is about my grandmother Karen Anna Logje Gaup. I have filmed and made clips, and Grete has directed. Otherwise, I work with reindeer herding with my family, and we also have the tourist company "The Samiway" where we offer reindeer herding Sami experiences for guests all over the world.
