The grand opening of ÁRRAN 360° will take place on August 26, 2022, on the beautiful island of San Servolo, in the middle of the Venetian lagoon. The event starts at 18:00 with the official opening of ÁRRAN 360°, followed by premiere screenings of the 360° films, VR films and an AR exhibition.

In addition to this, the opening night consists of an opening reception and a live performance with excerpts from the dance performance Vástádus Eana – The Answer is Land by Elle Sofe Sara, where the audience, through dance, is guided into an arctic mood. The evening ends by letting the audience step into the Sami club scene with the help of Tøndra and Article 3.

- Dáiddadállu has been given the honorable task of curating and producing the grand opening of Árran 360°, and for us it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the work of Sami artists for the international art and film scene. We are extra proud to collaborate with ISFI on the premiere party, as several of our artist partners are part of Árran 360°, says Dine A. Fenger Lynge, general manager of Dáiddadállu.

TØNDRA

TØNDRA is an Arctic electronica duo that makes music inspired by the Sami and the Arctic musical impulses. The duo combines the auditory elements with clear visual aspects. The duo is not public with their identities, as they want the listener to focus on the music rather than who the musicians in the project are.

The essence of TØNDRA is electronic music where analogue and digital sound elements come together in an expression of the harsh nature in the north. The duo's members both master and challenge the electronic soundscape, and have experience from other musical styles which they have added to their music.

ARTICLE 3

Indigenous people have the right to self-determination on the dance floor. By virtue of this right, they freely exercise their own moves and the joike hand's acceleration, and freely determine the bling level, sydis partner and guksi content.

Article 3 consists of Christina Hætta, our artist partner Elle Márjá Eira, Sunna Nousuniemi, Anne Henriette Nilut, Alice Marie Jektevik and Petra Laiti. They play Sami and indigenous music from all over the world.
