«Twice in 1993, I sneaked into the local cinema in Guovdageaidnu to see "Jurassic Park". This was the seed of my dedication to telling stories on the big screen.»
Ken Are collaborated with Elle Sofe Sara on the dance film "the wind whispers there is someone behind the tundra" in 2006, which was also his first encounter with dance on film. He has since then worked full time with film, documentary, music videos, visual art for concerts and installations. His creative journey is enriched by a specialization in indigenous storytelling and a deep connection to the Arctic climate that surrounds him.
