Rawdna Carita Eira is a poet, songwriter and playwright living in Guovdageaidnu. She debuted in 2011 with the poetry collection Ruohta muzetbeallji ruohta (Run blackear run) which was nominated for the Nordic Council's Literature Prize the same year. In 2012, she was nominated for the national Ibsen Award for the play Guohcanuori šuvva (Song from Rotsundet), and in 2020, together with composer Britta Byström, she was nominated for the Dora Mavor Moore Award in Canada in the category "Outstanding New Opera" for the opera Gállábártnit. Rawdna has written texts for and together with artists such as Mari Boine, Frode Fjellheim, Roger Ludvigsen, Håvard Lund, Inger Johanne Oskal, Hekla Stålstrenga, etc.
